The Mission of the Oregon State Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution Section is to encourage conflict resolution through the use of mediation and arbitration by:
- Providing training and education for ADR professionals;
- Providing ADR professionals with the tools necessary to help people in conflict to find resolution without expensive and time-consuming court or jury trials and appeals;
- Promoting diversity and inclusion in the training, development and selection of ADR providers and encouraging the elimination of discrimination and bias; and
- Advancing the use of alternative dispute resolution processes in courts, government, businesses and communities.
