Oregon State Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution Section
- Providing training and education for ADR professionals;
- Providing ADR professionals with the tools necessary to help people in conflict to find resolution without expensive and time-consuming court or jury trials and appeals;
- Promoting diversity and inclusion in the training, development and selection of ADR providers and encouraging the elimination of discrimination and bias; and
- Advancing the use of alternative dispute resolution processes in courts, government, businesses and communities.
Effective August 1, 2022, mediator qualifications formerly housed in Chief Justice Order (CJO) No. 05-028 were moved into UTCR chapter 12. A mediator qualifications workgroup is currently meeting to consider proposed amendments to this chapter.
